Our Eligible Services for the use of FaHCSIA funding


The federal department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA) provides funds for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder to access therapeutic interventions. Read more about this initiative in the panel to the left of the page. FaHCSIA will pay 100% of the cost of the services listed below. Add $25 to the cost of any first session to cover FaHCSIA Administration fees.


Outside the Square Psychology is a member of the FaHCSIA Early Intervention Provider Panel


Parents of children diagnosed with:

  • Autism,
  • Asperger Syndrome, or 

prior to their 6th birthday may be able to access up to $6000 per annum, up to a maximum of $12,000 towards early intervention services with recognised providers. The funds are available until the child's 7th birthday.

To access the funds, parents must make an appointment to see an Autism Adviser. Autism Advisers are located at Autism Victoria. Phone 1300 308 699.


To use the funds for services at Outside the Square Psychology, parents must provide their 'letter of introduction'. This is obtained from the Autism Adviser when their appplication is approved.
